5th Graders Head to Science Camp !
This week, our 5th grade students are embarking on an exciting four-day adventure at the Pali Institute in the beautiful San Bernardino Mountains! Science Camp is a unique opportunity for students to experience hands-on learning in nature, exploring topics through interactive activities and outdoor education. In addition to science lessons, students will challenge themselves on ropes courses and try their hand at archery.
While a few may feel homesick during this overnight trip, by Friday it’s usually hard to convince anyone to come home—they’re having that much fun! Ms. Powell and Mr. Snodgrass will be our dedicated adult representatives, ensuring students are safe and supported throughout the week. I’ll be visiting on Wednesday and am looking forward to seeing all the learning and laughter in action.
We can’t wait to hear all about their adventures when they return!
Honoring Memorial Day
As we approach Memorial Day, we take time to honor and remember the brave men and women who have sacrificed their lives in service to our country. Their courage and dedication have helped preserve the freedoms we enjoy each day.
As a school community, we can show our appreciation in meaningful ways—by participating in local Memorial Day events, writing thank-you notes to veterans, or observing a moment of silence on Monday. Students can also learn about the significance of the holiday through classroom discussions and activities that promote reflection and gratitude.
Let’s come together to teach our children the importance of service and remembrance. May we all take a moment this weekend to reflect on the true meaning of Memorial Day and to honor those who gave everything for our freedom.
"We don’t know them all, but we owe them all."
