Staff Appreciation Week

At Tijeras Creek, our teachers go above and beyond every day, bringing a perfect balance of dedication, creativity, and joy into the classroom. Their hard work does not go unnoticed—from thoughtfully preparing lessons to creating a welcoming environment where every student feels seen, supported, and inspired. With a wonderful mix of fun and professionalism, they make learning exciting and meaningful, helping students grow not just academically, but personally. We are so grateful for their caring hearts and the lasting impact they make in our children’s lives.   We recognize the teachers this week and appreciate all their efforts to make Tijeras Creek a wonderful place to learn.

Tuesday - Write On- Bring a colorful Sharpie or Flair pen.
Wednesday - Throwback Threads- students wear 90s attire

Friday - Major Props Day- class gift presented to teachers.

Update on SMART Watches on campus

We continue to see concerns related to SMART watches and cell phones being used during the school day for texting, calling, taking photos, and in some cases, academic dishonesty. As a reminder, students are not permitted to use cell phones or SMART watches during school hours.

All necessary communication between students and families from 7:45 a.m. to 2:05 p.m. can be facilitated through the classroom teacher or the front office.

Our school policy is as follows:

  • If a student is found using a cell phone or SMART watch during the school day, they will receive one warning.

  • After the first warning, the device will be confiscated by a teacher or administrator and returned to the student at the end of the day.

  • Repeated violations will result in a parent conference with the principal and the student.

We truly appreciate your support in helping us reinforce healthy boundaries with technology.

Let’s have a great week.
