TK/Kindergarten Round- Up December 9

With the School of Choice window opening in January, we have moved our TK and Kindergarten Round Up to December 9. This event is a valuable opportunity for families to learn more about Tijeras Creek Elementary and the programs designed to support your child’s success.

Tijeras Creek is a small community school that prioritizes
• Academic excellence
• Social emotional learning
• A strong sense of belonging

Our dedicated staff is committed to creating meaningful and engaging learning experiences for every student. Representatives from our PTA, YMCA, our before and after school program, and Saddleback College, an after school enrichment program, will be available to share information and answer questions.

We look forward to welcoming you and hope you will consider joining the Tijeras Creek family.

Round Up Schedule
Kindergarten: 9:00 to 10:00 in the MPR (tour to follow after presentation)
Transitional Kindergarten: 10:15 to 11:00 in the MPR (tour to follow after presentation)

Filling Bucket Initiative

We are working on acknowledging those that have performed a good word, service, or act which resulted in “filling a person’s bucket” and bringing a smile to that certain someone.  We have created buckets that will be hanging in front of the MPR which are written by students and staff that have had their bucket filled.  If you are on campus, stop by and read some of the “bucket fillers”

In the month of December, we are working on the character trait of “cooperation”.  We want to work together to do provide the following skills to our students

  • Apply skills such as listening, sharing, and taking turns
  • Work collaboratively toward common goals
  • Contribute to a respectful and productive classroom environment

Thank you for reinforcing this at home also.

“If you want to go fast, go alone. If you want to go far, go together.”

Let’s have a great week
