Lunch with a Loved One Mar. 13, 2026
On March 13, 2026, we will be holding a special event which will be a “All School Lunch”. This is the same day of the Jog-A-Thon. We want to celebrate our 25 years of being a school by holding a picnic. We will be doing this from 11:45-12:55 on the field. We will have music, a kickball game of staff (adults) vs. students, Tug of War and other activities. Ms. Buckingham, the previous principal, will be our Grand Marshall and will share some stories of Tijeras Creek. Mark your calendars for this event, you do not want to miss out. It should be a great celebration. Hope to see you all there. There will be more information about this event in the coming weeks.
National School Counselor Week February 2 to February 6.
Ms. Cress, our school counselor, provides valuable support to both students and staff and plays an essential role in fostering a positive school environment. She organized our College and Career Week and provides character education lessons to all students. In addition, she leads targeted small groups that support students in developing friendships, resolving conflicts, and navigating common social and emotional challenges experienced at the elementary level.
We are grateful for the many ways Ms. Cress supports our students and contributes to a high-quality educational experience. Ms. Cress is on campus on Thursdays and Fridays and is often present on additional days, as her children also attend our school.
Thank you, Ms. Cress, for your dedication, care, and the meaningful impact you make on our school community. We truly appreciate all that you do.
