“Together We Rise”
Principal Letter:
Seussical the Musical
I had the privilege of attending an outstanding performance by our Tijeras Creek students. We are truly fortunate to have students, staff, and families who so strongly support and value the performing arts. Our students shine when given the opportunity to perform for an audience, and it is inspiring to see their confidence and enthusiasm come to life. For some, the stage reveals a whole new side of their personality, which is a joy to witness. If you have not yet had the opportunity to attend one of these performances, I strongly encourage you to bring your family and friends. The production was both entertaining and meaningful, delivering a positive message for all to appreciate. Thank you to everyone involved for such a wonderful and memorable experience.
I-Ready MyPath Olympic Challenge
In celebration of the Olympic Games, Tijeras Creek is launching an exciting schoolwide challenge for our students. During the months of February and March, students are invited to make an Olympic-level push in mathematics through the MyPath program.
The Challenge Goals
- Complete 45 minutes per week on the MyPath program
- Complete two lessons per week
Students who meet these goals will earn special incentives in recognition of their effort, consistency, and commitment to learning.
This challenge is about building strong habits, perseverance, and confidence, just like Olympic athletes do through training and practice. Together, we are aiming high, supporting one another, and celebrating growth.
Train like an Olympian. Learn like a champion. You’ve got this.
Chat with a Principal and Counselor
This Thursday(February 5th, at 4:00PM, myself and Ms. Cress, our school counselor, will be holding a chat with the principal. If you would like to hear more about what is happening at school and get some Social Emotional Learning, I encourage you to attend this event. It will be held in the Maker’s Space and there will also be a Google Meet available for those that can’t attend in person. We hope to see you there.
“Excellence is not a single act. It is a habit.”
Let’s have a great Week !
