Dear Tijeras Creek Elementary School Families and Friends,
Welcome to the 2024-2025 school year at Tijeras Creek Elementary School and the Capistrano Unified School District. We are thrilled to have your children back in our classrooms and on campus, ready to embark on a journey of learning, growth, and achievement. As we commence this academic year, it is essential that with collaboration and commitment, we can provide an enriching and empowering education experience for ALL students. To achieve this, we emphasize the importance of working together-school, family, and community- united in our commitment to the success and well being of ALL of our students.
We firmly believe in the power of collaboration among various stakeholders of students, staff, parents, and community. Our success is realizing our Mission: “We strive for ALL students to achieve at or above grade level”. Your involvement, support, and engagement in your child’s education are vital elements that contribute to their academic achievement and overall well-rounded development of the “whole” child.
Tijeras Creek is dedicated to providing multi-tiered support to all. We recognize that each child is unique and may have diverse needs. Our approach involves a tiered system that supports ALL students. This includes universal support for everyone, targeted interventions based on the students identified needs, and providing enrichment opportunities for our high performing students. By tailoring our approach , we ensure that every child receives what they need to excel and succeed.
Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports (PBIS) play a crucial role in promoting a positive and safe learning environment for ALL students. Through teaching and reinforcing positive behaviors, we strive to cultivate responsible and caring individuals who exhibit respect, kindness, and responsibility in their actions. We are a three time platinum award recipient of PBIS (2022-2024) awarded for demonstrating a responsible, respectful, and kind school environment.
